A buyer has recently bought an original power supply from eReplacementParts .  The part number is N078832. (updated 12/29/19).

exact same way
and whose power switch is compatible with this laser guide (credit: youtube user Jason)).
IMPORTANT:  It has been brought to our attention that not ALL Type 1 and Type 2 saws have the Power Switch pre-installed.  Please manually inspect your saw to ensure the Power Switch is present as noted/seen above in the youtube video, or see the “alternative power switch” below:
ALTERNATIVE POWER SWITCH
:  As far as we know, the Power Switch DW7187 is no longer sold in stores and cannot be found online.  However, the power switch DWS7085 which comes with the LED work light system shown in the youtube video
will work for this laser attachment guide
.  The voltage is exactly the same, and the amperage needed for the laser guide is far below the max amperage of the power switch.
Please note the following from the DeWalt 7187 manual:
“Designed exclusively for use on type 1 and type 2 designs of these saws DW713, DW715, DW716, DW717 and DW718 DEWALT® miter saws and will not fit any other DEWALT® miter saw or any other miter saw brand.”
Be certain what “Type” saw you have before purchasing this laser. The saw “Type” can be found on the Warning label of the saw directly to the left of the serial number. Check this before ordering or you may be disappointed. If you are buying a new saw, the only way to determine the “Type” designation is to take the saw out of the box and inspect the label. There is no “Type” designation on the outside of the box.
Tip:  It may beneficial to use some loctite on the spring loaded screw to reduce the calibration needed over time.
